We visit a nearby Nature Reserve with scrub forest habitat where we look for African Broadbill, Narina Trogon and much more… Guests meet us at point where birding starts (travel with their own vehicle).

The day starts early, setting off for the scrub forest of Roodewal Nature Reserve to look for African Broadbill. Narina Trogon, Gorgeous Bush-Shrike, Eastern Nicator, Scaly-throated Honeyguide, Red-faced Cisticola, Crowned Eagle and Crested Guineafowl are some of the other birds to be seen there. We will then move on to the Muirhead Dams to look for Blue-spotted Wood Dove, African Pygmy Goose, White-backed Duck, Dark-capped Yellow Warbler, Horus Swift, Lesser Moorhen and Buff-spotted Flufftail. We will also spend some time in the lush riverine forest along the Luvuvhu River to look for African Finfoot and White-backed Night Heron.
